The Main Line has a lot to offer this week.  We've got wine, ways to unwind, and Easter eggs-travagance (not your typical egg hunt).

If There’s One Thing Vino, it’s Wine!

Paramour at the Wayne Hotel is offering a wine tasting that will get at the root, or more accurately, the soil behind a variety of wine and the characteristic of “minerality.”

On March 24, from 6 p.m.-7 p.m., the informative tasting, titled All About Soil, will also feature hors d’oeuvres from Paramour’s kitchen that were carefully paired with the wines featured at the tasting.

“From chalk in Chablis to gravel in Bordeaux,” you need only go as far as the Paramour in Wayneto explore French soil and the wine it produces.

Eggs-travagance at The Radnor Hotel

Kids, are you tired of the rough-and-tumble world of traditional Easter egg hunts—hopping from egg to egg for a pittance of candy?  Oh, the stress!  It’s time to kick back in the Terrace Room at the Radnor Hotel on March 26, from 1 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., for a tea party with the Easter Bunny himself.  While enjoying snacks and drinks from the Radnor’s tea menu, the event boasts “interactive storytelling, a lively sing-along featuring the Bunny Hop, creative Easter crafts,” and, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny.

The Radnor Hotel: March 26, from 1 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Advanced Ticket Purchase Required.

Play-A-Palooza in East Fairmount Park

Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse in East Fairmount Park invites you to celebrate Play-A-Palooza.  The playgrounds grand opening party will take place Saturday, March 26 from 12 p.m.- 4 p.m.

This year, the Playground features a new nature play space.  But don’t worry!  The old favorites are still there, like the historic 39 foot-long Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide and the over 50 pieces of unique play equipment on the 6.5 wooded acres in East Fairmount Park.

According to the website, “Several local partners will contribute to the day’s activities which include a mobile farm truck from Greener Partners and The Junior League of Philadelphia; nature activities led by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation’s Grow Up Green program; soccer activities led by Soccer Shots; painting led by Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture; spin art presented by The Hacktory; Boggle, Scrabble, and other mind-bending games from Philly Tutors; hands-on family literacy activities from Words at Play; carnival games and treats from NorthEast Treatment Centers; and healthy snacks provided by Happy Family Super Foods and Trader Joe's.  In addition, the Free Library of Philadelphia’s READ! by 4th initiative will pilot its “Book-on-a-Hook” program by tethering a children’s book to a Playground bench in celebration of Read Across America! and Dr. Seuss’s birthday.”
