When it comes the birthplace of America, there are almost too many events to choose from! If you're not sure what to do during America's birthday, don't worry, we have a list of events we think you'll love to attend during Independence Day:

Summer Beer Garden at the Mütter Museum: Philly is kicking off Independence Day celebrations the day before, and what better way to celebrate Independence Day Eve (can we make that a thing? We're making it a thing) with some drinks at the Mütter Museum! Drinks are pay as you go and full museum access is included with each ticket.

POPS on Independence at Independence Hall:Grab your friends, family, some blankets & bug spray and head on over to Independence Mall on the 3rd for a free concert featuring songs that will get you into the patriotic spirit.

Parks on Tap at Shofuso Japanese House and Garden: Starting on the 3rd and continuing to the 7th, the Parks on Tap event in Fairmount offers a variety of fun events including a free yoga class and other family friendly activities and programming in honor of the traditional Japanese festival Tanabata.

Trails on Tap at Valley Forge National Historical Park: For those who are looking for some fun in Montgomery County during the holiday, Trails on Tap is heading to the Betzwood Pinic Trailhead in Valley Forge National Historical Park form the 3rd to the 7th.

America's Birthday Party at Independence Visitor Center: Did somebody say cake? We sure did! The Independence Visitor Center will be celebrating America's birthday from 9am-2pm with a 5 tier cake decorated on-site by Termini Brothers Bakery, along with 2,500 cupcakes arranged in the shape of the American flag!

July 4th Celebration of Freedom Ceremony & Independence Day Parade: If you would rather stay outside on the 4th, from 10am-12:30pm the front of Independence Hall will be buzzing with excitement with a reading of the Declaration of Independence, music from the Philly POPS Big Band, special guests and more! Following the ceremony, join the gang in a parade through the streets of the Historic District for the Salute to America Independence Day Parade.

Party on the Parkway: From noon to 7pm on the 4th, Ben Franklin Parkway will be absolutely jam packed with events, food vendors, live music and even a zip line above the crowds and over the Parkway! There will also be a special kids zone in Aviator Park, offering live storytelling, as well as arts and crafts for kiddos of all ages.
