Independence Beer Garden Opening: We walked by yesterday and saw taps for kegs going in and immediately got excited for summer nights and happy hours after work! Independence Beer Garden is giving us a little tease this weekend to give us a taste of what we can expect when they open for the season on April 26th. New this year...large plates! Last year they not only added in small plates and alternatives to beer but now they’ve added in brisket, wings & other delectable fillers!

Museum of the American Revolution Anniversary Weekend: How has it already been a year? There are a variety of events happening at the museum tomorrow and Sunday including musicians, celebratory cake (shaped like Washington’s tent), a time capsule & so much more. Morgan’s Pier: Longer days are back & so is Morgan’s Pier! We could not be more excited to welcome back the popular hot spot for watching boats come through while enjoying a cold one. All weekend long there’s no cover, plus chef Adam Lazarick is taking charge of the kitchen this summer! Peddler’s Village Spring Fling: With a hint of spring in the air, it’s the perfect weekend to bring the kids out to Peddler’s Village for their annual Spring Fling Festival. With shopping, food from local hotspots & now a beer garden...there’s a little for everyone!
Philly’s Kite Festival: Beginning at noon tomorrow, the sky around Penn Treaty park will be filled with color and creativity at the Philadelphia Kite Festival. Each year around this time there is a kite flying show as well as a kite workshop for kids. It’s the perfect event for all ages so be sure to get out tomorrow from 12-5pm at Penn Treaty Park.
Clover Market in Bryn Mawr: Sunday the heart of Bryn Mawr Avenue will be taken over by more than 100 vendors to celebrate Clover Market. It’s rain or shine...but we’re forecasted for a pretty sunny weekend so bring your family, friends & pup and hit the streets of Bryn Mawr. Philadelphia Science Festival: Today kicks off The Philadelphia Science Festival, a city-wide celebration of math, tech, science & more. Over the next 8 days, there will be more than 80 events available to all at a variety of locations across the city...and best of all, 90% of them are free! Tonight’s event, Citywide Star Party is a stargazing event led by astronomers to view and appreciate the universe at more than 25 different locations this evening. Earth Day in Philly at Constitution Center, Academy of Natural Sciences & Rittenhouse Square: Sunday is Earth Day and there’s no shortage of celebration in and around Philadelphia! There will be green tips and education on how to better protect the environment at the Academy of Natural Sciences from 10am to 5pm. At the National Constitution Center visitors can learn about President Teddy Roosevelt & First Lady Claudia Johnson who were known as the “Green Pioneers.” Activities will be held on the front lawn and include games and gardening tips from the same era as Roosevelt & Johnson. At Rittenhouse Park, beginning at 10am there will be a park clean up - this will be a short 2-hour event so be sure to get there on time and remember your gardenin gloves!
Phillies vs. Pirates: Not the warm temps we would expect this far into April however it will be warmer and sunny this weekend so why not get out and enjoy the Phillies take on the Pirates?
